I am a UKCP accredited clinical psychotherapist.

I hold a master’s degree in Integrative psychotherapy from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I work in a relational/humanistic way offering warmth, compassion and a welcoming space to encourage growth and healing. My practice is located in Mansfield.

How I can help you

I believe that sometimes throughout our lives, we can experience events that leave a lasting impact on our way of being in the world.

Therapy offers time, space, and an increasing awareness to better explore why we may be thinking, feeling and acting the way we are. This can impact the way we are today leaving us with:

  • Self-sabotaging behaviours,
  • Unhealthy coping mechanisms,
  • Low self-esteem and self-criticism
  • Catastrophising
  • Unhealthy relationships

I have particular interest in awareness of our behaviour patterns and why we feel compelled to repeat these patterns of a lifetime, alongside the core beliefs that we hold and feel about ourselves. The growing research in neuroscience has established that psychotherapy allows and supports change within our brain and a new way of being.

I support and have a deep understanding and respect for gender identity, with experience in supporting transitioning and working with the LGBTQ+ community.

My career in secondary teaching initially led me into psychotherapy teaching, recognising the struggles we all carry.

Free consultation

I offer a free initial telephone, online or face-to-face consultation of 20 minutes.

Finding the right therapist is important and so the initial consultation is designed to see how it feels being together. In this space we can explore your reasons for wanting therapy and what you hope to achieve. You can also find out more about me and my way of working, as well as any other questions you may have. We will also arrange a date to book in for your first session.
